One of my quintessential childhood tapes was “Love At First Sting” by The Scorpions. \u00a0Wasn’t into them before or after, but for that time period, I was totally onboard. \u00a0Years later, I had one of the best nights of my life seeing Dio open for Deep Purple open for The Scorpions. \u00a0I saw Eddie Vedder in the audience and became quite fixated for the duration. \u00a0I remember seeing him jump out of his seat, smacking Taylor Hawkins on the shoulder and freaking out when Deep Purple went into “Space Truckin”. \u00a0When I witnessed one of the great rock gods acting like that I realized then and forever that we are all fans. \u00a0I have goosebumps remembering that right now.
